Welcome
I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m Dolly, a Functional Hormone & Gut Health Practitioner. My approach is grounded in functional training and shaped by more than 30 years in healthcare, including my background as a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
Today, I help women in midlife understand what’s changed in their bodies, and what to actually do about it, through education, guided support, and a whole-body approach that looks deeper than symptoms alone.
Because when the things that once worked suddenly don’t, it doesn’t mean you need to try harder. Your body may need something different in this season.
Here's my story
Like many people who enter healthcare, I started with one simple goal:
I wanted to help people.
For more than 30 years, I worked in traditional healthcare as a nurse and nurse practitioner. Over time, I began noticing something difficult to ignore…
So many women were doing everything they had been told to do and still struggling with weight, sleep, energy, digestion, hormone changes, and a body that suddenly felt unfamiliar.
And eventually, I became one of them.
After an unexpected hysterectomy, I kept one ovary and was told I shouldn’t go into menopause. But my body had other plans.
Sleep changed. Hot flashes appeared. Weight became harder to manage. The things I had always relied on stopped working.
And despite my medical background, I realized there were important pieces of the puzzle I had never been taught.
That experience led me to train in functional medicine, functional hormone health, the gut microbiome, and metabolic health, and to learn how the many signals in our bodies shape the way we respond in midlife.
It also changed the way I support women today.
I don’t believe every symptom needs another quick fix. And I don’t believe every woman needs the same menopause protocol.
I believe we need to understand the whole picture… your symptoms, your patterns, your foundations, what has changed, and what your body may be communicating.
My goal is to help you make sense of those pieces so you can feel clearer and more confident about where to focus, without constantly wondering what you should try next.
I’m on a mission…
to help women understand what’s changing in their bodies in midlife… so they can stop guessing, look beyond one-size-fits-all answers, and feel clear about what to do next.
The path that shaped my work
My background is rooted in healthcare. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing with a minor in Women’s Health and became a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2010, after years of working in nursing and patient care.
My own gut and health struggles first led me beyond the conventional approach. I wanted to understand why I didn’t feel well when the usual answers weren’t helping, and that search led me into functional medicine and functional hormone health.
Then menopause arrived, earlier and faster than expected, and it took me deeper. I went on to train in the gut microbiome and in integrative and functional nutrition, so I could better understand how metabolism, hormones, digestion, and lifestyle connect in midlife.
Today, I bring those perspectives together to help women look deeper than symptoms alone, recognize their patterns, and understand what their body needs in this season.

Midlife changes the context.
And that changes how I believe we should approach your health.
The strategies that worked for you before may not work the same way now. Sleep may affect you differently. Your response to food, stress, exercise, and recovery may shift. And sometimes those changes happen gradually… while other times they seem to arrive almost overnight.
That doesn’t mean the answer is to try harder, eat less, exercise more, or add another supplement.
It means we need to get curious about what has changed, what patterns are showing up, and what your body needs in this season.
That’s why my work starts with the foundations, looks at the whole picture, and goes deeper when there’s a reason to… rather than assuming every woman needs the same solution.
The goal isn’t to give you more things to do. It’s to help you understand where your attention matters most.
If you’re ready to stop guessing and start making sense of what’s happening in your body, the first step is a conversation.
